Heh, this made me giggle! I’m sure you’ve heard of CloudFlare? Ya know, the company that gives you access to a free CDN, and claims your web site will have greater security and uptime. In fact, they say they’ll “keep the static portions of your site online even if your server goes down” – well, that’s rather debatable after seeing this screenshot! This is 100% genuine, and shows CloudFlare can’t even keep their own web site up! Should you trust them with your web site?

CloudFlare Erroring

Yes, our great embarrassment is that we don’t run http://www.cloudflare.com through the CloudFlare service. The reason is sound — we want to make sure that people have a way to get in touch with us if there’s a problem on the network — but it does mean that our own website every once in a while has errors (especially when, like today, it gets attacked).

A better test of our reliability is any one of the tens of thousands of websites, or the 5+ billion page views each month, that we delivery faster and safer. Give it a try. Takes 5 minutes to sign up (www.cloudflare.com/sign-up). If you’re unhappy, takes 2 minutes to turn it off.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply on a personal blog 🙂
    Also thanks for clarifying.
I might actually give CloudFlare a try now, see how well it works 🙂
